The Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center is the designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the nine-county Coastal Georgia region. The AAA plans and coordinates services and programs for senior citizens of the region.

The AAA’s mission is to foster the development and implementation of a comprehensive, coordinated system of services to promote the independence and continued well-being of coastal area older adults.

Activities of the AAA included:

Developing the Area Plan which identifies the needs of older persons, develops objectives and priorities and identifies services to meet the needs of older adults
Advocating on behalf of seniors
Developing and managing contracts with service providers
Working with various groups to develop a comprehensive service delivery network
Provide information on available senior services in the communities
