Transportation Fiscal Analyst

The Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center is seeking applications for a Fiscal Analyst to account for its transportation funded programs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting or 4+ years experience in accounting for multiple grant funded programs. Skills needed include demonstrated knowledge of government accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), skilled in the use of PC-based software, including Microsoft(R) Word and Excel and specialized financial software programs, the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and knowledge of general principals of financial administration including budgeting and reporting requirements.

Economic Development Director

The Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center is seeking applications for an Economic Development Director. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Planning, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field. Skills needed include demonstrated knowledge of government, economic development, grant writing, skilled in the use of PC-based software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and knowledge of general principals of public administration including budgeting and reporting requirements.

Grant Specialist

The Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center is seeking applications for a Grant Specialist. This newly created position will provide grant-writing assistance and grant administration for member local governments, development authorities, the RDC and other entities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in English or related field. Skills needed include: demonstrated research, writing and coordination of the activities of grant and/or loan programs skills; excellent organization and oral communication skills; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines for grant opportunities; ability to take initiative and utilize innovative techniques and ingenuity in preparing grant/loan applications; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with local government officials, other departments and agencies as a team player to coordinate grant projects; ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations; ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects; ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate a variety of data; and be proficient in use of computers and office equipment.
